Actor Idan Amedy from the Netflix series “Fauda” has been seriously injured in Gaza, The Times of Israel reported. According to Amedi’s father, he was transported to a hospital for surgery. Idan Amedi’s life is now out of danger.
Amedi’s cousin has published on Instagram a call to his followers to pray for the recovery of the actor and musician, reports BTA.
Idan Amedi is known for his role as Sagi, a soldier from an elite Israeli unit that takes part in operations in the West Bank and Gaza, in the TV series Fauda. The actor is a reservist in the engineering corps of the Israel Defense Forces and was mobilized days after the attacks against Israel on October 7 of this year. He was admitted to a hospital in Ramat Gan on Monday afternoon.
Shortly before he was wounded, Amedi gave an interview in Gaza to an Israeli television reporter in which he said he was feeling fine but a little tired. “I don’t know how to play this,” the actor joked to the Channel 12 News correspondent. “What they built is crazy,” Amedi says when asked about the tunnels his unit discovered.

Idan Amedi, 35, is a musician, songwriter and actor. He was born and raised in Jerusalem. His parents are Kurdish immigrants. Amedi is proud of his origins and always ends his concerts with a song in Kurdish. The actor is married and has two children. He completed his military service in the Israel Defense Forces Engineer Corps between 2006 and 2009.
