Actor Harry Dikmans has died at the age of 96. The actor was the first to portray the hearing-impaired villain B2 in the Bassie and Adriaan television series.

Dikmans was, among other things, a quick sketch artist, variety artist and clown in a circus. He became best known for his role as B2. He played the villain for the first time in the series Bassie & Adriaan: The secret of the key from 1978. In 1979 he took on the role of B2 again for the series Bassie & Adriaan: De Diamant. After these series, his brother Joop took over the role.

The Rotterdam-born actor spent a large part of his life in Zeeland and Benidorm in Spain. At the age of 95, he moved back to the Netherlands permanently, after a fall in which he suffered a fracture.

Dikmans died after a short illness in a nursing home in Zierikzee, reports Broadcasting Zeeland. His family says they will miss the “outspoken man full of humor”. “But luckily we were able to let him go at a respectable age.”
