On Friday, October 27, the public was invited to the Móricz Zsigmond village library in Mezőfalva for a studio discussion entitled “Between books”. During the presentation and discussion about the life path of Gábor Harsányi Kossuth and two-time Mari Jászai award-winning Hungarian actor, writer, playwright, and worthy artist, we were able to learn not only about his well-known acting work, but also get a glimpse of the artist’s work as a writer, director, and theater artist.
In the resume, it was said that writing came before acting. The rich, but at the same time difficult life journey began in his childhood, when he was discovered to be a writer. He published his first two volumes under the pseudonym CC Kicker. Later, his compositions came out under his own name. Although the acting giant has always struggled with minority feelings, this was not at all visible during his career. Among his published works, among others, the works entitled Scandal in the Sports Hall, Escape from Transylvania to the Szentföld, Prisoners of the Szentföld, and The Corridor of Slow Death were mentioned. Gábor Harsányi’s partner in the discussion was Balázs Bán, a local council representative from Mezőfalv, who covered the theater, television and music aspects of his career. All in all, we were able to spend a very pleasant and enjoyable afternoon with the artist for a good hour and a half.
