A total of 30 women have claimed to have been sexually assaulted in various ways by Gooding in events that occurred over more than a decade.

The 52-year-old actor is already facing another indictment in a New York state court, in which three women allege they were sexually assaulted by Gooding, but state prosecutors say 27 more women say they were raped or attacked by him.

Gooding’s lawyer, Mark Heller, said: “These are false accusations of events that never happened more than seven years ago and that do not support a criminal complaint.”

Gooding faces six minor charges of forceful touching and sexual abuse in his state case, for which he could face a year in prison.
