Līcītis was born on January 8, 1946, in Rīga. In 1970, Līcītis graduated from the Theater Faculty of the Latvian State Conservatory, according to information available in the archives of the news agency LETA.
Līcītis is one of the most prolific Latvian film actors. He has starred in more than 160 films and TV series, and more recently outside Latvia. One of the most famous films with Līcītis’ participation is “Raspberry Wine”.
