Angus Cloud is best known for appearing on the acclaimed HBO series Euphoria. He became a fan favorite in the role of sensitive drug dealer Fezco “Fez” O’Neill. Especially his scenes with co-stars Zendaya and Javon Walton left a lasting impression. Angus Cloud has passed away at the age of just 25.
The Oakland Fire Department reportedly responded to a call from Angus Cloud’s mother around 11:30 a.m. on July 31, 2023. But when the rescue workers arrived, the young man had already died. The cause of death is still unknown. Oakland Police have confirmed they are on an active death investigation.
Cloud’s family made a moving statement to the online portal TMZ: “It is with a heavy heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible person today. As an artist, friend, brother and son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and struggled intensely with his loss. The only comfort we have is knowing that Angus is now reunited with his father, who was his best friend.”
Friends and acquaintances from the industry also said goodbye to Angus Cloud via Twitter and Instagram. Including actors like Rachel Zegler, Javon Walton and Kerry Washington as well as the musician Questlove:

In addition to the series Euphoria, in which Angus Cloud first began acting after Sam Levinson practically cast him off the street, he has also attracted attention in films such as North Hollywood and The Line. He was also recently seen in the horror film Scream 6 alongside Melissa Berrera and Jenna Ortega. Cloud has also appeared in various music videos (e.g. “Cigarettes” by Juice WRLD) in the past.
Work on the already confirmed third season “Euphoria” has not yet started. It remains to be seen how the death of the actor will be dealt with in the coming season. The HBO series is rumored to be hitting the next round in 2025.
