Wilson’s novel about the theater “Me & Mo” was published in 2020, he did a lot of dramatization and writing plays (play “Lots of Happiness” at the Liepaja Theater and “Quoting the Lost Time” at the Latvian National Theater in collaboration with director Ināra Sluck).
Eric Wilson (1956) was born in Magadan, Russia. He returned to Latvia in 1959 together with his parents and brother Mārtiņš. In 1982, he graduated from the acting department of the Theater Faculty of the Latvian State Conservatory and worked for a few years at the former Drama Theater named after Andrejs Upītis (now the Latvian National Theater). From 1985 he was an actor and director of the Liepāja Theater. He studied drama and writing in various workshops, but in 2014 he obtained a master’s degree in writing studies at the University of Liepaja. Wilson is a member of the Writers’ Union.
This is the first collection of original poetry published by Aminori. The design of the collection uses drawings by the young artist Reinis Pelle Carlson, in which Eric Wilson has found, as he says, a “visual corresponding to his madness”.
