Actor Dalimil Klapka died on Tuesday at the age of 89. The daily Blesk informed about the death, and later the actor’s son Jan Klapka stated it on Facebook.

Dalimil Klapka was born on May 22, 1933 in Prague, where he also graduated from Jirásek’s pedagogical grammar school. In 1953 he was accepted to DAMU, which he successfully completed.

His acting career was mainly connected with today’s Švand Theater in Prague, where he worked for 33 years. He taught acting at the conservatory for almost twenty years.

While he was given smaller roles in the film, Dalimil Klapka made a name for himself in dubbing, where he narrated, for example, the character of Inspector Columbus, his grandfather Abraham Simpson from the animated series of the same name and dozens of other characters.
