The weapon was tested by the FBI. That test showed that it functioned normally and that bullets could only be fired after the trigger had been pulled.
The police investigation also revealed that guns were very lax on the set of “Rust”. Several real bullets were found. They are normally forbidden on film sets. The producers, including Alec Baldwin, have already received the maximum fine (almost 126,000 euros) for not complying with the safety regulations.
