ResetEra forum users have asked Naughty Dog to re-sound Nadine Ross from Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, as she speaks in the voice of a white actress. The creator of the topic on the forum believes that depicting a character’s accent with a dark skin color is a bad taste.
According to a survey that was created by the author of the topic, 57% of portal users support it. Many of them were surprised why the discussion of the problem attracted so few people, and called this choice of the actress for the role of voice acting from the studio “stupid”.
Previously, Naughty Dog vice president and screenwriter Neil Drakmann said that the developers considered girls of all nationalities and skin colors to play the role of Nadine. He noted that Laura Bailey, who voiced Nadine, in their opinion, suited the character best.
