Four activists were arrested this Sunday afternoon after they hung a banner on the War Memorial in Toulouseaccording to information from the Dispatch from the South thatToulouse News could be confirmed.
Three men and a woman
On this banner, we could read the following sentence: “Accomplice of ecocide, they have declared war on water”.
Three men and a woman were arrested, suspected of having hung this banner on the Toulouse war memorial. These four activists belong to the Toulouse Action Brigade.
While the war memorial “levitates”
Remember that the monument to the dead of Toulouse currently finds itself in an unprecedented situation. To allow work on line C of the metro, the building will indeed be moved on August 31st.
Since the beginning of last week, the building has been raised, centimeter by centimeter. Now 1.60 m above the ground, it will be moved on Thursday August 31, 2023 using a rolling platform. It will then be turned 90° and moved back about thirty meters towards the aisles. It will return to its place at the end of the metro station work.
A trip which should in particular make it possible to avoid cutting plane trees located on the Forain François Verdier alleys.
