Activision held a Call of Duty NEXT event, where it revealed new details Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 by Sledgehammer Games. At the event, the creators of the shooter showed in detail the online game, the DMZ-style zombie mode and the new Warzone map.

The developers stated that the starting maps Modern Warfare 3, taken from MW2 (2009), were not just restored to fit a modern engine, but also improved their pacing and gameplay; also promised the widest selection of weapons
Over 30 weapons at launch
There will be completely new 3 maps for the Ground War mode – War mode from WWII will also return
There will be a completely new Cutthroat mode in 3v3v3 format
There will be 3 maps in each season – 12 new maps will be added in the first year (player-favorite maps from previous COD parts are not excluded)
New gadgets – exploding drone, point-capturing device, etc.
Voting for the map will return – you need to choose between two proposed ones
The classic mini-map with red dots, roll canceling, cooldown canceling and the like – SHG has made changes for the sake of fast and responsive gameplay
Perks, unlike Modern Warfare 2, are active from the very beginning of the match – this time they are in the format of equipment (gloves, boots, etc.)
The updated movement system now allows players to use the “bunny hop” – SHG has also made climbing and strafeing faster
Treyarch is once again handling the ranked mode and it will appear in Modern Warfare 3 halfway through the first season
The “Zombies” mode is a symbiosis of Outbreak and DMZ, but without PvP – the action takes place on the Warzone map, up to 24 players in a match, squads of 4 people; shops with improvements are available in the process, evacuation at the end
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released on November 10 on PC and consoles of both generations. For pre-ordering, access to the story campaign will open a week before launch. The early beta test for pre-orders on PlayStation will begin on October 6 at 20:00 Moscow time.
