Activision has found another fun way to harass Call of Duty cheaters

Activision has invested heavily in the anti-cheat system RICOCHET for Call of Duty and is constantly improving it. However, cheaters are not only banned but sometimes thwarted in funny ways. That is now again the case.

Previously, the anti-cheat system ensured that gamers who used a so-called ‘aim bot’ saw their opponents turn into ‘bullet sponges† Now Activision has come up with something fun again.

Cheaters playing Vanguard or Warzone can now run into ‘Cloaking’. As a result, all enemies are invisible to them and they cannot hear the sound of the opponents’ guns.

Players who do play in a fair way can clearly see who is cheating, according to Activision. That’s because that’s the soldier who walks around like a chicken without a head and ‘who is shooting at me?’ screams.

“Legitimate players, however, can see cheaters impacted by cloaking (generally, they’ll be the players you see spinning in circles hollering, ‘Who is shooting me?!’) and can dole out in-game punishment.”
