The protests of Activision-Blizzard workers have turned into a snowball and there are more and more testimonies that account for the terrible situations of harassment and abuse within the company. Although there is a common cause, some workers have chosen to take separate cases against Activision-Blizzard and recently a lawyer representing some of them shared the testimony of a worker.

Another day, another indictment against Activision-Blizzard

With the prior authorization of the worker, who for security reasons is called only “Christine”, attorney Lisa Bloom shared the testimony of what she lived through 4 years at Activision-Blizzard, a company she defined as a inappropriate and hostile environment against women. According to what the worker mentions, the idea that had been formed around the company, which is not surprising as it is one of the largest in the industry, fell apart when she began to experience the environment of harassment and abuse perpetrated by workers. that they enjoyed all kinds of tolerance on the part of the managers.

In this sense, the testimony refers to the following:

“Working at Blizzard was my dream job. When I first heard about all the talented people who worked there, I knew it was a place I wanted to work. I was so excited to be part of a community that seemed to care so much about their employees. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen for me. Since I started out, I have been the subject of rude comments about my body, unwanted sexual advances, inappropriate touching, I have been subjected to events with the team that are fueled by alcohol, I have been invited to have casual sex with my supervisors and has been surrounded by a frat boy culture that is detrimental to women.

When I complained to my supervisors, they told me they were ‘joking’ and that I should get over it. I started to stay away from work events to avoid sexual comments and groping, but they also told me not to go to HR. After complaining about sexual harassment, I was demoted. Then they harassed me even more and retaliated against me. I have been denied my full share of the profits, have been denied company stock, and have had minimal increases in the 4 years that I have been employed with Blizzard. “
