Activision Blizzard is denounced by its shareholders for the purchase by Microsoft • Eurogamer.es

Six demands at the moment.

Six shareholders of Activision Blizzard have filed lawsuits against the company that have to do with the future purchase by Microsoft.

These lawsuits allude to the fact that the purchase violates the Securities and Exchange Law.

The first demand it was filed by Kyle Watson in California. In it, Watson claims that Microsoft’s purchase of Activision is “unfair for a number of reasons.” According to Watson’s lawyers, one of these reasons is that the acquisition seeks to “create significant and immediate benefits for the board and management.” F

Watson claims that the deal between Activision and Microsoft was not in the best interests of shareholders, and that Activision did not provide shareholders with the information necessary to make an “intelligent, informed and rational” decision.

The lawsuit also notes that Activision Blizzard “failed to create an independent committee of non-subject matter directors to manage the purchase process.” The rest of the demands present similar motives and tones.

An Activision Blizzard spokesperson has stated, in response, that “We disagree with the allegations and look forward to presenting our arguments in court.”

These lawsuits add to the many others that Activision Blizzard is facing over numerous cases of sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace.
