Activision Blizzard Games Could Coming Soon to Xbox Game Pass

In a surprising revelation for everyone, Microsoft announced in January of this year that it would be acquiring Activision Blizzard. After several months of waiting, the acquisition now appears to be ready for review by the FTC, the US Federal Trade Commission.

Microsoft recently confirmed that it responded to the FTC’s second request for documents. This means that the US government now has 30 days to ask for new information from the company or finally approve the acquisition.

If the FTC ends up not requesting any more documents, Microsoft will be one step closer to owning Activision Blizzard, with the purchase being able to be approved as early as August.

Just this week we had the approval of the acquisition of Bungie by Sony, with the owner of the Destiny franchise now being part of PlayStation. However, Microsoft will still need to get permission from the Council of Europe for the purchase to finally go through.

If the acquisition of Activision Blizzard is approved, it means that major franchises like Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo, Overwatch and Crash Bandicoot will now be part of Xbox.
