From today, October 1, parents of the youngest children can submit applications to ZUS for a completely new type of benefit to cover fees related to nursery care. The government’s Active Parent (so-called Grandma’s) program includes three forms of support: “actively in the nursery”, “active parents at work”, “actively at home”.
The recruitment of applications under the Active Parent program starts today. Parents of children up to three years old can apply for one of three types of benefits:
- “actively in the nursery”,
- “active parents at work”,
- “actively at home”.
The choice is voluntary. The program also gives you the opportunity to change your decision multiple times – giving up one form and switching to another.
“Actively in the nursery” service
“Actively in the nursery” will cover parents whose children attend a nursery, a children’s club or a day care provider. This up to PLN 1,500 per month to pay for nursery careand in the case of disabled children up to PLN 1,900. The benefit will be transferred directly to the facility’s account. The program will replace the current subsidy, which amounted to PLN 400 per month.
“Active parents at work” benefit
“Active parents at work” is PLN 1,500 or PLN 1,900 per monthif the child has a disability certificate, for working parents. The funds can be transferred to a grandmother, nanny or other person who takes care of the child during the parent’s professional activity. This form of benefit allows you to combine professional and family roles.
“Actively at home” service
“Actively at home” is an option addressed to parents who are not entitled or will not use the above-mentioned services voluntarily. benefits, remain economically inactive and their child does not attend a care institution. Benefit in the amount of PLN 500 per month will be entitled to each child in the family from 12 to 35 months of age.

Applications for grandmother’s benefits can be submitted to ZUS electronically
The Government Active Parent Program is a completely new benefit. According to estimates, support will cover up to 570,000. kids. Applications for “grandmother’s benefits” can be submitted to ZUS electronically via:
- PUE ZUS platform,
- mZUS mobile application,
- electronic banking,
- portal Emp@tia MRPiPS.
