Active Forest Fires in Quiroga and A Illa de Arousa: Updates and Operation Details

Two forest fires remain active at this time in the towns of Quiroga, in Lugo, and A Illa de Arousa, in Pontevedra.

The first of them originated at 3:26 p.m. in the parish of Montefurado, as sources from Medio Rural have confirmed to Europa Press. One technician, four agents, seven brigades, seven fire engines, four planes and five helicopters are working there to extinguish it.

For its part, the A Illa fire started at 4:58 p.m. this Tuesday and at the moment there is no estimate of the burned surface either.

In this case, two agents, five brigades, two fire engines, two planes and a helicopter have been sent to the site for the extinguishing operation.
