Of the infections detected in the last hours, 18 are linked to the outbreak of the nursing home in A Pastoriza (Lugo), which doubles its active cases and now has 36; six to the center Paz y Bien de Tui (Pontevedra), which amounts to 39 infected elderly; and another two to the focus of the San Bartolomeu de Xove Residence (Lugo), which has 25 infected.
However, from the global count, we must also remove two deaths that occurred in the last hours at the Xove residence and at the Santa Teresa Jornet in A Coruña, in addition to five other users who have been discharged: two in the Xove center, another two in the San Sebastián e San Lázaro de Ribadeo Asylum (Lugo) and one in the Monte Tecla residence in A Guarda (Pontevedra).
After these variations, the DomusVi residence in Vimianzo continues as the one with the most active cases of covid-19 among users, with a total of 72. It is followed, although by far, the geriatric Paz y Bien de Tui, with 39 elderly infected, and A Pastoriza, with 36.
The San Bartolomeu de Xove has 25 older people affected, the Ribeira residence continues with 19 and the Ribadeo Asylum Hospital has dropped to 18 that appear in this Saturday’s update.
Below the ten are the Santa Teresa Jornet center in A Coruña, with six positives; La Saleta de San Cristovo de Cea, with four; the CRAPD Vigo II, with four others; and the residence of Burela, the Vila do Conde de Gondomar and the San Bartolomeu de Xove Tutored Apartments, with one case each.
WORKERS CONTAGED
As for nursing home workers, the count of positives has risen significantly, to 121, after detecting 26 positives and three discharges.
Specifically, the new infections have been registered in the Paz y Bien de Tui center (9), in A Pastoriza (8), in DomusVi Vimianzo (4), in DomusVi Barreiro de Vigo (1), in Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza de Ourense (1), in the Ribeira residence (1), in San José de Arzúa (1) and in Ballesol de Oleiros (1). The registrations correspond to two employees of La Saleta de San Cristovo de Cea and one in Monte Tecla de A Guarda.
By centers, the workforce most affected in this Saturday’s data is DomusVi Vimianzo, with a total of 24 infected workers, followed by Bartolomeu de Xove, with 12, and the nursing homes of A Pastoriza and Tui, with 10 each. . The rest of the centers that appear in the list are below ten.
For their part, the disability care centers (CAPD) remain without affected users, but there are four infected workers – the same number as a day ago. Thus, there are two positives in the CAPD staff in A Coruña, one in the Pai Menni residence for adults in Betanzos and the other in the Hogar San Rafael in Vigo.
