Active cases due to covid continue to increase in Galicia, going from 2,173 to data from 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, to 2,280, with the last part provided by Sergas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
The number of people who died with covid rises to 4,001 after two other deaths were reported in the last few hours: a 99-year-old man, in the Vigo health area, on December 19, and an 81-year-old woman, in the health area de Lugo, A Maria and Monforte de Lemos, on the 20th.
With 2,004 patients being followed up at their homes, of the total of 2,280 active cases, 511 are from the A Corua area; 254 of that of Lugo; 336 from Ourense; 217 from Pontevedra; 478 from Vigo; 323 from Santiago and 161 from Ferrol.
The number of cases opened in the last 24 hours is 195, 51 of them in A Corua; 13 in Ferrol; 19 in Lugo; 20 in Ourense; 32 in Pontevedra; 27 in Santiago and 33 in Vigo.

Of the total number of positive patients, five are in the ICU and 271 in hospitalization units. Of these, 92 were admitted to the plant in the A Corua-Cee area, with one in the ICU; 13 in the Ferrol unit on the ward, with another in the ICU and 22 admitted to hospitalization units in the Lugo-A Maria-Monforte de Lemos unit, with none in the intensive care unit.
In the Ourense-Vern-O Barco de Valdeorras there are 30 people on the ward and one in the ICU, and in the Santiago de Compostela-Barbanza ward, 39 on the ward and one in the ICU. Also in Vigo there is one person in the intensive care unit and 52 in other units, while in Pontevedra-O Salns there are none in the ICU and 23 are on the ward.
