activate dark mode on the iOS and Android app

Are you a dark mode aficionado on iOS and Android, but you also want your favorite apps to take advantage of it? Discover through our tutorial how to activate this feature on the Snapchat social network!

Unfortunately, the handling is not the same for the two operating systems: iOS and Android. The iPhones benefit from a feature directly integrated into the application, while on Android, it takes a little more tweaking in the smartphone settings and not in the application directly.

Enable Snapchat dark mode on iPhone :

• Open the Snapchat app;
• Click on the icon of your profile on the top corner left ;
• Press the cog-shaped button at the top left to access the Settings ;
• Go to the section App appearance ;
• In this part, you can click on Still dark to have the application in dark mode 100% of the time, Same as the system so that Snapchat depending on the system settings of your Android smartphone or Always clear to never have dark mode.

For the smartphones Android, handling is more complex. Two solutions are available to you:

• Go to the settings of your Android smartphone, then the section Screen and apply the dark mode. Then activate the developer options and open the one called Force dark mode. Note, this option does not exist on all smartphones. Then launch Snapchat and dark mode should now be available for the social network.
• Another solution, less recommended, go to the site Snapchat uptodown and download the version 10.61.2.0 Beta of July 9, 2019. After installing it, launch the app and you should have dark mode on Snapchat.
