Actions against rickettsia are increasing

COAH BORDER.- In response to a series of citizen reports, the Municipal Health Department intensified fumigation actions against the rickettsia in various population sectors of the Border.

On Monday morning, health brigades toured the Aviación, Zona Centro, Borja, Occidental and Ejido 8n de enero neighborhoods where they focused on fumigating the homes of families who previously required attention.

These actions seek to protect the border population and prevent diseases such as rickettsia.

Health personnel have not stopped fumigating and in recent days have gone to the Aviación, Occidental, Borja and Paraíso colonies where they seek to eliminate possible pests and prevent the appearance of diseases such as rickettsiosis.

The streets of the aforementioned sectors were visited, where health personnel fumigated patios and fronts of houses, urging the population to take the necessary measures to avoid getting sick.

The health teams spread the liquid indicated for the control of infestations in domestic animals such as fleas and ticks, recommending to always keep the house, the patios and the sidewalks clean.

During the week, the staff is focused on responding to reports from the population that require the presence of inspectors and proceeding with fumigation and the execution of anti-tick baths.

The aim is to protect the community during this hot season, which is when there is the greatest susceptibility to diseases caused by animal bites.

The need to fumigate is addressed in order to prevent a plague from developing in the city, actions that are necessary because pests cause diseases in humans such as rickettsia.
