Action week for children from addict families

Also this year, the youth welfare office of the district of Sonneberg, together with the coordination and specialist office of the partnership for democracy in the district of Sonneberg, is taking part in the nationwide campaign week for children from families with addiction. Because children from families with addiction problems need special protection and their parents need effective support.

Experts estimate the number of children from addicted families at 2.6 million. Around every sixth child in Germany grows up in the shadow of addiction. Very early on, these children have to take responsibility for their parents when the adults drop out due to addiction. Colorful butterflies, visible in the windows, should also give the forgotten children courage and hope in 2023 during the campaign week in the district of Sonneberg. You too can participate!

As a kick-off event, a film screening of “Platzspitzbaby” (2020) will take place on February 9, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sonneberg cinema. All residents of the district are cordially invited to the free event. Note: Places are limited!

Afterwards, regional network partners will be available for questions, discussions and an exchange.

We are at your disposal for open questions, suggestions or a creative exchange of ideas:
