Action Logement has decided to extend the exceptional assistance for rents and real estate loans for employees set up last June, until the end of the health crisis and the scope of its beneficiaries has been extended.
It is intended for current employees whose income has fallen by at least 15% as a result of partial unemployment measures. It takes the form of a flat-rate aid in the amount of € 150, for two months. Almost 80,000 people have already benefited from it.
Employees who have lost their job since the start of the health crisis, and whose current income is between 1 minimum wage and 1.5 minimum wage, can also benefit from a lump sum aid of 150 € per month for 6 months . “This measure makes it possible to avoid the risk of unpaid bills on the part of employees in difficulty and also constitutes significant support for owners in the context of the social and economic crisis linked to the health situation”, according to Action Logement.
“Supporting company employees, weakened by the health and economic crisis, through proactive prevention actions, is at the heart of Action Logement’s missions and its vocation of social utility, in the service of the employment-housing link” , says Bruno Arcadipane, president of Action Logement group.
“In this economic and social crisis which follows the health crisis, it is the responsibility of the social partners to concretely support employees by helping them pay their rent or their monthly mortgage payments”, explains Philippe Lengrand, vice-president Housing Action Group.
