Action group puts dead piglets and rabbits on the street

Dead piglets and meat rabbits were laid out on the streets in various places in the country last night. The Vegan Strike Group speaks of a concerted action to draw attention to “victims of the meat industry”.

According to their own words, the activists have placed the cadavers at 75 locations, including at the Vion slaughterhouse in Boxtel, at the Media Park in Hilversum, at a number of newspapers, at the town hall of Boxtel and at the provincial government of Noord-Brabant in Den Bosch.

On their Facebook page states that they are campaigning for the meals consumed during the holidays. “Died for your meal,” they write of the animals. “Christmas without animal cruelty starts on your plate.”

Hilversum

Some of the cadavers were in Hilversum. In return for NH News a woman says she saw the animals when she was walking the dog. “I was walking down the street and noticed that a large crow was making a strange noise. I turned the corner and then I saw them. The three little pigs. I immediately called the police.”

The police inform the broadcaster that the piglets are stillborn. An investigation is being conducted into the origin and whether criminal offenses have been committed.

Efteling

The Vegan Strike Group was also in the news in 2019 when a number of members disrupted a horse show in the Efteling. They protest against an act in which a horse gallops through the arena with a burning blanket on its back.

The four activists were given 100 hours of community service for this.
