ACT Doesn’t Notify Heirs of JT-610 Victims Amount of Funds from Boeing

Jakarta

Bareskrim Polri suspects the foundation Action Quick Response (ACT) took action against the victims of the Lion Air JT-610 crash. ACT is also called not being transparent to the victim’s heirs regarding the amount of funds received from Boeing.

“Then the foundation ACT did not notify the realization of the amount of CSR funds he received from Boeing to the victim’s heirs, including the value and progress of the work managed by the ACT foundation,” said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police for Public Relations, Kombes Nurul Azizah at a press conference, in Jakarta, Monday (11/7/2022). ).

Nurul said that ACT also did not provide CSR funds to the victim’s heirs. Instead, the funds were used to pay the salaries of ACT officials, even for personal facilities and interests.

“And it is suspected that the ACT foundation did not realize all the CSR funds obtained from Boeing, but some of the CSR funds were used to pay the salaries of the chairman of the supervisory board and staff at the ACT foundation,” he said.

“And it is also used to support facilities and activities or personal interests of the chairman of the board or the president of brother A (Ahyudin) and the deputy chairman of the board or vice president of brother IK (Ibnu Khajar),” he added.

It is known that the Bareskrim Polri is currently investigating the existence of embezzlement of funds involving the assistance of the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) foundation. Recently, the National Police found an alleged embezzlement of aid funds for victims of the Lion Air JT-610 plane crash in 2018.

“That the management of the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) foundation, in this case Ahyudin as the founder and concurrently chairman, administrator, and supervisor, and Ibnu Khajar as the chairman of the board, alleged that some of the social funds/CSR funds had been misappropriated from Boeing for their own personal interests in the form of payment of salaries and personal facilities,” said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Headquarters Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Saturday (9/7).

In the Lion Air accident tragedy in 2018, the airline provided compensation funds to the heirs of the victims. The aid fund consists of cash compensation worth Rp. 2.06 billion and social funds or CSR with a similar amount.

The results of the investigation carried out by the police found that there were allegations of embezzlement of the aid funds carried out by ACT. The ACT is said to have never involved the heirs in the arrangement and use of CSR funds channeled by Boeing.

“In the implementation of the distribution of social funds/CSR, the heirs were not included in the planning or implementation of the use of the social funds/CSR and the ACT Foundation did not inform the heirs of the amount of CSR funds they received from Boeing and the use of CSR funds. that,” said Ramadhan.
