Acquisition of Digital Scapes, CDPR Officially Has a New Game Studio Called Vancouver

INDOZONE.ID – The developer of The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 games, CD Projekt Red has just acquired a game studio located in Canada, namely Digital Scapes. Now the game studio is part of the CD Projekt Red family.

After this acquisition is made, the studio will change its name to CDPR Vancouver. With this, now CDPR already has four studios located in Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, and now in Vancouver.

“On March 29, 2021, CD Projekt Red has signed an agreement for the acquisition of a Vancouver-based game studio. The two companies have been working closely together since 2018,” wrote CD Projekt Red in an official blog post.

As information, Digital Scapes itself is a game studio that has been established since 2012 and contains former developers from BioWare to Relic. Usually this studio focuses on porting games to consoles and PCs.

The games they have handled until now are Cyberpunk 2077, Dying Light, Dead Rising, Mass Effect, Prototype, Company of Heroes, and many more.

It is hoped that Digital Scapes’ joining CD Projekt Red will help this Polish game developer to produce high quality games and not cause any more problems.
