The installation work in the Gipuzkoan town of Andoain of a new line of acoustic screens in the NI, at the height of the Ikastola Aita Larramendi, started this Friday, as planned, once the rethinking act was signed.
The Gipuzkoa Provincial Council has explained that the works will last 4 months and that the school center’s holiday period will be used “to the maximum”, so that the new linear is fully installed with the start of the new academic year.
The screens will cover a section of 332 meters in front of the school with a structure of reinforced concrete sound-absorbing screens with a variable height of up to 4 meters and a length of about 20 meters per unit. Likewise, the action foresees an environmental recovery intervention with the planting of 50 trees where there is currently only vegetation.
