A high school teacher from Western Achaia was arrested for sexual harassment against an underage student, following a lawsuit filed by her parents.
According to information from ERT, a charge has been filed against a 65-year-old man for insulting sexual dignity.
According to the complaint of the girl’s father, the high school teacher made gestures and expressions towards the 14-year-old during the lesson on September 13 and 16. The minor student, upon returning home, informed her parents and they went to the Security Department in Western Achaia, where they also reported the incident.
They themselves demanded the criminal prosecution of the high school principal, and for this they filed a lawsuit.
The 65-year-old professor was searched by the police in the context of the car accident. Afterwards, he was arrested and taken to the public prosecutor of Patras. After that, a regular trial was set and he was released.
According to ERT sources, the teacher denies the accusations and claims that it is a misunderstanding.
It is worth noting that there are not a few incidents of sexual harassment against minors, which have been taking place lately.
