Champion UVC Holding Graz was in the MEVZA League for the 14th time this season on Monday evening. The duel between defending champion and leader of the table ACH Volley Ljubljana lost in three sets (14:25, 17:25, 17:25).

Frederick Laure, Murstadt’s sporting director, had already announced before the game that coach Robert Koch would give the young talents a chance in the encounter so that they could gain match practice against the top Slovenian team. For Graz, the final 4, which will be hosted by SK Zadruga Aich/Dob in February, has long been out of reach.

In addition to the southern Carinthians, ACH Volley Ljubljana has already qualified for the showdown in the Central European League. OK Merkur Maribor is just a small step away from getting the Final 4 ticket. OK Calcit Kamnik and HAOK Mladost Zagreb are also still in the running.
