The former Governor Aníbal Acevedo Vilá argued today that the letter sent to Governor Wanda Vázquez by the president of the Finance Commission of the United States Senate, Charles Grassley, relives the government scandals, while calling on the country to demonstrate that it is better than the administration.
“The letter that Senator Grassley sent today to Governor Wanda Vázquez asking for explanations and information for the misuse of public funds to purchase rapid tests to detect the COVID-19 and on the way in which the government of Puerto Rico has handled this health crisis is much more than a location for the Governor”, Acevedo Vilá stated in written statements.
He argued that “in fact, it amounts to a full challenge of the present government since it came into force with Ricardo Rosselló until the present of Wanda Vázquez. Relive all the scandals of this government, until the purchase of the armored bus by former Governor Rosselló ”.
“It is a letter that shows that in Congress they have been and continue to be very attentive to the way this government conducts public affairs. At this time of great challenges and difficulties, Puerto Ricans have the obligation and responsibility to demonstrate to the Congress, the Federal Government and the World that we are much more and better than what this administration represents, ”said the candidate of the Popular Democratic Party (PPD) to the resident police station in Washington.
Grassley held accountable the Governor Wanda Vázquez by scandals that have rocked the island since the coronavirus pandemic emergency began and gave him a week to answer numerous questions about recent events in his administration.
