Acer Unveils New 57 Inch Gaming Monitor at 2024 Consumer Electronics Show

Acer released a number of new products at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, United States. One of them is a gaming monitor called the Predator Z57.

As the name suggests, this gaming monitor measures 57 inches, has a refresh rate of 120Hz, is curved, and has a resolution of 7680 x 2160 pixels. The panel uses MiniLED lighting technology, which is promised to produce better contrast than LCD monitors in general, with a brightness level of up to 1000 nits.

The resolution is very high, namely 7,680 x 2,160 pixels or the same as two 4K panels (3,840 x 2,160 pixels). This is because this 32:9 ratio monitor can be used as two separate monitors using the two available HDMI 2.1 ports.

The Z57 is equipped with AMD FreeSync Premium and complete port connectivity. Namely USD-C PD 90W, two HDMI 2.1, and a DisplayPort 1.3. Acer also equipped the Z57 with a video keyboard and mouse (KVM) for use with multiple devices at once.

The dimming zone is 2,304 and supports HDR. There are two modes of using two inputs, namely picture in picture or side by side split screen, as quoted by detikINET from The Verge, Monday (8/1/2024).

The color coverage is 98% DCI-P3, and the monitor also supports VESA mount for bracket mounting. Oh yes, this monitor is also equipped with a stand that can be adjusted tilt, swivel or raise, and has two 10W speakers. Price? USD 2,500 and will be available in the US and Europe from Q2 2024.

Acer also released a smaller monitor, namely the Predator There is also the Predator X34 V3 for USD 900, a 34 inch 180Hz QHD ultrawide monitor that uses a MiniLED panel.

Finally, Acer is also trying to expand into 3D gaming again with the Predator SpatialLabs View 27, a line of stereoscopic 3D monitors that don’t require special glasses.
