Acer, the well-known manufacturer of not too expensive laptops, has launched into the production of electric bicycles. Acer’s first electric bicycle will be called Ebii, and it will weigh very little – around 15 kilograms. This weight will make the Ebii noticeably lighter than many other electric bikes.
Ebii’s human-powered electric bike will be able to reach and maintain a speed of up to 32 km/h, but this is most likely a parameter for the US market and Asia only, as Europe limits this speed to 25 km/h. The Ebii electric bike will also be equipped with machine learning to memorize rider habits and even be able to adapt to road conditions.
The Ebii electric bike is promised to be able to travel up to 110 kilometers on a single charge. Charging the battery will take up to 2.5 hours, which is quite a bit for this type of electric vehicle. And the Ebii electric bike will immediately come with anti-theft solutions from the factory, which is also not insignificant.
