Ace Austin gives an update on Chris Bey.
Chris Bey suffered a serious neck injury last Sunday at the TNA tapings and had to undergo surgery that same night. A little less than 48 hours later, Bey gave her first statements thanking the fans and the rest of the wrestling world for their support. Two days later, another update arrives.
Through a TNA official statementAce Austin has posted a second update on Chris Bey.
Chris Bey began his rehabilitation from neck surgery on Sunday, October 27, and will remain in Detroit with multiple daily rehabilitation sessions under the direction of specialists. He continues to show daily improvements that make those around him and Bey himself smile. Every day he has members of his family by his side, as well as close friends, TNA Wrestling executives and members of the TNA staff. Ace Austin has been by Bey’s side since Sunday night’s in-ring accident.
The two teamed up after Austin returned from Japan in 2022 “and we made the decision to come together and give it our all,” Austin stated. “Our pairing worked so well from the beginning, in large part because we share a similar work ethic and a deep love for wrestling.”

Before we were friends, but we quickly became partners and even faster we became brothers.»Bey’s first match in TNA was an Xplosion against Austin shortly after Austin was signed to TNA. “He was kind, selfless, willing and incredibly talented,” Austin said. «When TNA signed Chris, he was fighting with me for the X-Division Championship.
«As rivals, we grew in immense mutual respect and had classic fights. As tag-team partners, we have been able to lift each other up and support each other in many ways, both as fighters and as human beings in this world.

Everything was going well until it stopped going well. Every moment is precious and I am cherishing every moment I have had in the ring and around the world with Chris, and every moment I have by his side right now. There will be a lot of hard work ahead, but we don’t know any other kind of work.
«Chris will not be alone in any of this. You will be surrounded by love and support from each and every one of us. “The road to recovery is going to be very easy.”
