Former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star Neymar is accused of having exploited the precariousness of a woman to impose unworthy working conditions on her.
Neymar soon back in Paris? The former Brazilian player of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is assigned to the industrial tribunal of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, in Yvelines for “concealed work” by a former domestic employee who worked at his home from Bougival, for a year and a half, from January 2021 to October 2022.
According to “ The Parisian », which revealed the information, this Brazilian mother is claiming 368,000 euros in compensation from the industrial tribunal. And for good reason, his lawyers, Mes Caroline Toby and Vincent Champetier, assure that “Neymar exploited the precariousness of [leur] client to impose unworthy working conditions on him, in violation of the basic rules of labor law.”
“Clear violation of legal protection rules”
According to the same sources, the employment of this worker without a residence permit and part-time, who should have been reclassified as full-time employment due to the number of hours worked, was not the subject of no declaration. “We deplore that such a personality could have shown so much inhumanity, even going so far as to kick our client out of her home a few days before giving birth prematurely, while she was complaining of pain,” add the lawyers.
According to Messrs Toby and Champetier, Neymar was guilty of “obvious violation of the legal rules of protection attached to maternity”. Her eviction after giving birth “left her in total destitution, due in particular to her lack of declaration to social organizations,” they wrote in a letter dated June and consulted by AFP, which proposed a resolution amicably, but remained unanswered.
“After having referred the matter to the industrial tribunal, we are now considering giving this case the criminal consequences it deserves,” the lawyers warned again on Wednesday. Contacted by AFP, Neymar’s entourage did not respond on Wednesday evening.
