The man in his 50s who was arrested on Tuesday and charged with attempted murder after the shooting at Trosterud in Oslo, will be released.

The Oslo police state in a press release on Thursday that they after thorough assessments consider that the suspicion against the man has weakened.
– The police therefore consider that there is not a sufficient basis for requesting that he be remanded in custody, they write.
It was the night before Wednesday 25 August that two men, one in his late teens and one in his 20s, stayed shot in a residential area on Trosterud. Both of the two offended men were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
For a week, there was an intense pat hunt for the shooter, before the Oslo police on Tuesday this week arrested the man in his 50s and charged him with attempted murder. He is now being released, and it is currently unclear whether the charge against the man will be upheld.
– The offended and relatives in the case have been informed of the release. The investigation is in full swing and the case is a very high priority in the Oslo police district, it is stated in the press release.
