Accuracy: Which 35 Companies Are Audited for Their Prices – The Survey –

Takis Theodorikakos may state – at every opportunity – that he is the Minister of Development, not of precision, stressing – also at every opportunity – that investments will bring well-paid jobs and an increase in incomes, yet 7 out of 10 citizens (percentage 68%) still to believe things are going in the wrong direction, according to a Metron Analysis poll presented in Mega’s evening bulletin on Thursday 24 October.

And from this poll it appears that punctuality is still the country’s No. 1 problem, as answered by 38% of respondents, with the economy in second place with 24%.

DIMEA‘s survey of 35 companies

Under these circumstances, the results of the huge – ongoing – investigation by DIMEA, which concerns 26 large food companies and non-food, as well as 9 supermarket chains (including the largest by turnover), are of key importance.

Research has been enriched

The investigation, which has been launched since July and has meanwhile been “enriched”, as large meat importers and wholesalers have been added to the list, has a deadline of November 10.

The aim of these extensive checks concerning over 2,500 product codes is to record any unjustified increases in the items in question.

It is noted that the controls “rely” on the implementation of the current legislation on the ceiling on the profit margin in relation to December 2021, which as stated by the Minister of Development will remain in force in 2025.
