Without the precision check for low-income pensioners up to 700 euros, there will be approximately 930,000 beneficiaries in this category in 2025, causing strong reactions to the fighters of the work.
It should be noted that for the first time in recent years, the specific provision, which in 2024 was at the levels of 150 euros for each beneficiary.
The Punctuality Check (Extraordinary Allowance) will be paid before December 20, 2024. It will affect around 1,900,000 citizens, with the list including pensioners with personal difference balances excluded from the new increases in January, families with children, the disabled, uninsured seniors, but also thousands of other vulnerable people.
The allowance
The decision on the extraordinary tax on refineries amounting to 243 million euros, opened the way for the granting of the extraordinary allowance, to five categories of beneficiaries, just before Christmas.
In particular:
1. The 700,000 pensioners with a personal difference will receive an extraordinary financial aid of 100 – 200 euros as follows:
For those who receive a sum of main pensions up to 700 euros, an aid of 200 euros will be given.
For those receiving the sum of main pensions from 700.1 to 1,100 euros, an aid of 150 euros will be given.
For those who receive a sum of main pensions from 1,100.1 to 1,600 euros, an aid of 100 euros will be given.
2. The 767,000 beneficiaries of OPECA’s child benefit will receive an additional installment of child benefit.
3. The 220,000 beneficiaries of the OPECA disability allowance and the beneficiaries of the non-institutional allowance and other disability allowances of the e-EFKA will receive an aid of 200 euros.
4. The 35,000 uninsured elderly beneficiaries of the corresponding OPECA allowance will receive a 200 euro subsidy.
5. The 205,000 beneficiaries of the minimum guaranteed income will receive an additional 50% of the monthly allowance during the month of December.
