Previously, many “CS2” player accounts were blocked due to the AMD Anti-Lag+ function. Although the ban has just been lifted, another “CS2” player has encountered another problem of mistaken blocking.
Some players have discovered and confirmed that if your mouse moves too fast, your account will also be determined to be in violation by Valve’s anti-cheat system VAC, and your account will be banned. Moreover, this anti-cheating BUG will be triggered stably.
A player named Water CS2 uploaded a video to Youtube, showing that when the mouse DPI is adjusted to above 10,000 and the camera is rotated wildly, VAC will ban the account.
Many players have also reported the same problem. Some banned players were banned just for “turning around” during the warm-up phase. Some players triggered the anti-cheating system in the first game, and some players were banned after playing for more than an hour.
The only good news is that the probability of this VAC BUG appearing is not high, because most CS players are low-DPI players, and no one will actually play “CS2” with a DPI of more than 10,000. And for those players who want to try their luck, it’s best not to take the risk unless you try it with a backup account.
Valve has yet to respond to these mis-blocking issues. But considering that AMD’s previous anti-delay and error-blocking unblocking speed was quite fast, you shouldn’t need to wait too long.
