The main defendant in the CCB bankruptcy case, Tsvetan Vassilev, told TV1’s “Questions” that MRF MP Delyan Peevski had been asked to leave the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He added that there was information that Peevski was trying to open new bank and offshore accounts in other countries in the region, but this could not happen.

“Note that Peevski started with his offshore companies mainly after the bankruptcy of KTB. He is very worried about the sanctions imposed on him under the Magnitski law and is making frantic attempts to save himself, but there is no chance. The safest place for him is in Bulgaria, where his main assets are the prosecutor’s office and in particular Ivan Geshev, as well as the Anti-Corruption Commission, “Vassilev said.

He clarified that Peevski can hardly open accounts in other countries, because after the sanctions on “Magnitsky” “no bank will be exposed to the Americans to protect those sanctioned by them.” Tsvetan Vassilev also said that there was information that two investigations were being conducted against the candidate for MP from the MRF in Europe.

According to him, Peevski has a hidden participation in the company “Ciela Norma”, which supplies the voting machines. According to him, he has influence in the company, even expressing the opinion that the profit from renting the machines is distributed somewhere, but did not specify what he means. Vassilev clarified that he has known the owner of the company Veselin Todorov for a long time.

Asked for comment by Dnevnik from Ciela Norma, they described Vassilev’s allegations as nonsense. The company said that the only connection that could be made with Peevski was his participation in the bill to reduce VAT on books to 9%.
