Rumors that Ronaldo accepted an offer from Saudi Arabia already appeared during the World Cup in Qatar. The Spanish newspaper Marca was the first to report the news.
Ronaldo’s move to the Middle East was confirmed by Al-Arabiya station on Friday. The 37-year-old striker was expected to sign a two-year deal with club an-Nassr. Information about the financial amount of the contract varies, according to the British Dailymail, Ronaldo is expected to earn nearly five billion crowns in two years.
An-Nassr is one of the most successful clubs in the country. He has dominated the top local competition nine times, most recently in 2019. In 2020 and 2021 he won the Saudi Super Cup again. The team is coached by the French coach Rudi Garcia, who in the past has managed, for example, Marseille, Lyon or AS Roma.
