According to the police, protest actions in the district are “largely peaceful” – Kirchzarten

A total of around 1000 people protested against the corona measures in individual communities in the district on Monday. According to the police, the actions were largely peaceful.

People met again on Monday in the Freiburg region to publicly protest against guidelines for protection against Corona. As the police announced, the so-called Monday walks were largely peaceful. In communities in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district, a total of more than 1,000 people have come together for protests.

In the district, there were 270 participants in Kirchzarten at Rathausplatz, in Staufen at Rathausplatz 90, in Bad Krozingen at Lammplatz 50, in Breisach 90, in Gundelfingen at Rathausplatz 22, at Rathaus Neustadt 50, in Vogtsburg-Oberrotweil at Rathaus 30, in Schallstadt 16 and in Mllheim 450, as the police said when asked. According to observations, there were twice as many participants in Neustadt as in the first actions. According to the police report, only a few meetings of opponents of the Corona measures, for example in Mllheim or Kirchzarten, had been previously registered with the respective meeting authority. There were registered counter-demonstrations in Schopfheim and Bad Sckingen.

Counter-meeting in Schopfheim

Like the city of Freiburg last week, Schopfheim and Waldshut-Tiengen have now issued general decrees banning unannounced meetings through their assembly authorities. In Lrrach, such a ban on assembly applies from today, Wednesday.

The registered evening counter-meeting in Schopfheim was numerically the most popular with 650 participants, the police write in their report. 250 people took part in an unregistered demonstration in Schopfheim and 200 people in Schopfheim-Fahrnau. Place references were issued and the meetings were dissolved. According to the police, around 80 people gathered at the Meeraner Markt in Lrrach. Despite loudspeaker announcements, no responsible person was named. Attempts were also made again to form up elsewhere, whereupon evictions were issued and personal details were collected. All events would have gradually dissolved from 8 p.m.
