According to the Government, data from the UNE are not accurate due to vaccine expiration dates

This August 17, deputies of the National Union of Hope (UNE) reported that supposedly more than 2,000,000 Moderna vaccines would expire on August 23 (in 6 days). Hours later, the Ministry of Social Communication of the Presidency (SCSP) published on its Twitter account a table with data on the batches of vaccines received and their expiration date, which contradicts what was quoted by the UNE.

Congressman Jairo Flores shared the images on his Twitter account describing that 2,224,970 doses of the Moderna vaccine would expire on August 23 and 171,064 Pfizer vaccine would expire on August 21. “TOTAL 2,416,000 at risk of maturity,” deduced the congressman.




GOVERNMENT: VACCINES AVAILABLE NOT YET COMPLETE EXPIRATION PERIOD

According to what was shared by the Communication Secretariat of the Presidency, as of August 12, 1,555,918 doses of Moderna were still available, which would expire between November and December of this year.

According to the table, the doses that entered the last donation from the United States (4,000,000) have four expiration dates:

– November 27, 2021
– December 1, 2021
– December 2, 2021
– December 5, 2021

ASTRAZENECAS EXPIRATION BETWEEN SEPTEMBER AND NOVEMBER

The source stated that by August 12 there were 15,640 AstraZeneca vaccines left over from the donation from Mexico, these have an expiration date for November 1, 2021, according to the SCSP. On the other hand, the AstraZeneca shipment donated by Spain reported that its two expiration dates are September 30 and October 31 of this year.




LESS THAN 2 THOUSAND SPUTNIK REMAINING EXPIRE IN DECEMBER

At the end of the information sheet they highlighted that by August 12 there were still 1,840 second doses of the pharmaceutical company Sputnik. According to the SCSP, these second components expire on December 31, 2021. Similarly, they reported that the last available first doses of Sputnik V expire on October 30 and November 30, 2021. The only available Pfizer also expire on November 30, 2021. this year, as shared.

FLOWERS: IT WAS A “ERROR”

While, at a press conference, the Minister of Health, Amelia Flores, assured that there was “a human error” about the expiration date of the immunizers. He added that it was “a hit or a finger,” and not consciously.
