Following the 2023 YKS results, additional placement results were also announced. While 2,357 more students were placed in TRNC universities with the additional placement results, the choice of 30 percent of these students was Near East University. With this result, more than twice as many students were placed at Near East University compared to the second-ranked university.
The number of students placed in Near East University, which has been the most preferred university in TRNC for the last 8 years, reached 3,528 this year with additional placements.
Registrations are between 27 September – 3 October 2023!
Students who are placed in Near East University with the 2023 YKS additional placement results announced by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) must complete the registration process between 27 September – 3 October 2023. Records are held at the Near East University’s campus in Nicosia, as well as; It can also be held in Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Istanbul, Izmir, Şanlıurfa and Van representative offices.

Stating that 2,357 more students were placed in 16 TRNC universities with the 2023 YKS additional placement results, Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ said, “It is a source of great happiness and pride for us that 30 percent of the students who were placed in TRNC universities as a result of additional placement chose Near East University. “This interest shown by our students also increases the responsibility we feel towards them.” Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ said, “This interest; “It shows that the academic and social opportunities we provide to our students and the scientific productivity created by our competent academic staff are also adopted by young people who want to have a qualified university life.”
