In 2015, scientists staged a wacky beauty contest by showing photos of vaginas. Whoever wins, the woman will get a cash prize of £ 3,150 or around more than Rp. 51 million and the title of ‘the most beautiful vagina in the world’.
Of the 182 data entered, a 27-year-old British woman named Nell was crowned the winner. The results of the vaginal photos are printed in 3D to later be used as a reference for the latest sex toy models.
When the contest was over, all of the photographs submitted by the other women were used as samples for a study called The Vulva Paper. From that study, scientists were able to find out what type of vagina people like.
They measured the length of the labia majora, labia minora, and clitoral hood by viewing each vaginal photograph on a 15-inch, enlarged computer screen. This makes it easy to measure the genitals using a screen ruler.
Then, they classified the contest sample data into six different “vulvar morphology” categories. Next, the scientists sent voters random vaginal photos and asked them to rate each one 1-10.
As a result, about 51 percent of voters favored the top two categories with unpronounced simple labia shapes, while the remainder referred to the more complex four classes of vulvar shapes.
“This also provides evidence that simple and more complex vulvas have almost the same percentage of admirers,” the scientists said, as quoted by the Daily Star, Friday (20/1/2023).
In conclusion, according to scientists, the most beautiful form of Miss V is not a big problem for women to worry about. The reason is, both simple and complex forms, both have their own uniqueness and characteristics. The most important thing is how to maintain and care for the vaginal area to keep it clean and free from fungus and bacteria.
