jpnn.com – Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo said that Apple will launch the iPhone 15 this year.

Unlike its predecessor, iPhone 15 said to be supported by charging using a USB Type C connection.

Ming Chi Kuo said the use of the connection complies with EU regulations.

Even so, the USB Type C connection presented by the iPhone 15 will only work optimally with a certified cable.

Thus, not just any USB Type C cable can charge from this high-end cellphone.

According to Kuo, Apple will optimize fast-charging performance with USB-C on iPhone 15 models using certain of these certified cables.

Quoted from Phone Arena, Thursday (23/3), currently, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 support a maximum charging speed of up to 20W, while the Pro model supports up to 27W.

As for the charging device, it must be purchased separately, considering that Apple no longer includes a power adapter in the cellphone purchase box.

Something similar seems to be re-enforced on the iPhone 15, but what’s different is the Type C connection.

The move aligns with another report from tech leak ShrimpApplePro that says Apple is seeking MFi (Made for iPhone) certification for USB Type C accessories.

Without an MFi-certified cable, the device’s ability to charge is not optimal.

It is estimated that Apple will introduce the iPhone 15 in September 2023. (Antara/jpnn)
