The Côte-d’Or has recorded a drop in vaccinations which can be explained by several factors. At the Zénith vaccination center in Dijon, if we can notice a drop in attendance, the supervisory staff is not alarmist.
Little queue at the entrance, unoccupied seats and caregivers waiting. At the Dijon zenith vaccination center, the pace of vaccinations has slowed significantly over the past week. “Vaccination today is rather calm. I have been vaccinating here for 7 months, the past week has been the calmest I have experienced. It’s a bit boring but we are at the service of people. We do it according to them and their availability, ”resigned Valérie Bernard, nurse. Over a 4-hour shift, she performed around sixty vaccinations against 80 to 90 vaccinations over periods when attendance was higher.
Several factors explain the decrease
A finding also shared by some patients like Selma Osenge who came to have her second dose injected. “There are a lot less people today, I find that weird. At the entrance, there are a lot less people and in the rooms and on the seats, there is hardly anyone. I have the impression that there are more caregivers than patients. “

And for good reason, in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté the number of people vaccinated daily fell from 20,088 on July 16 to 12,501 on August 10. A decrease whose factors are multiple according to doctor Antoine Daisey, deputy medical coordinator of the Zénith vaccinodrome in Dijon. “There is no need to worry, the summer periods are conducive to a drop in activity so the vaccine is not immune to this phenomenon. This little shortness of breath can also be linked to the fact that the vaccination rate is getting good in Côte-d’Or. That, combined with the holidays, could be two reasons for this deceleration. “
As a reminder, 1,413,029 people are fully vaccinated in the region, or nearly 66.1% of the population. This is more than the national average which accumulated 56.99% of people fully vaccinated on August 11.

80% of people over 12 have received at least the first dose in Côte-d’Or
For Captain Antoine, head of the military detachment responsible for the Zénith de Dijon vaccinodrome, the reason for these fluctuations can also be explained by the various government announcements. “At the time of the presidential announcements in mid-July, we had a big peak in attendance because people wanted to have their vaccination pass. During this period we approached 4,000 people vaccinated per day. Today, we are back on a cruising speed, around 2,000 people per day. There is no catastrophic drop. “
No worries therefore on the side of the supervision of the Zénith de Dijon vaccinodrome, where we even hope for a resumption of vaccination at the start of the school year. “We can already see an increase in appointments from next week in our vaccination center. We are following the summer vacation curve a little, ”notes Dr Antoine Daisey. Currently, nearly 80% of those over 12 have received at least their first dose in Côte-d’Or.
