NRA warns other natural persons with royalties paid in 2023 to declare them within two weeks
NAA sends letters, e-mails or makes phone calls to nearly 16,000 individuals who are known to have received royalties in 2023, agricultural subsidiescash on delivery amounts from Internet sales, etc., but failed to declare them. Citizens must declare their income within two weeks of receiving the notification from the revenue agency.
The NRA has information on the amounts received in 2023 by individuals. These data were submitted to the revenue agency by the courier companies – for cash on delivery payments, by the employers – for paid royalties under civil contracts and by the State Fund “Agriculture” – for the granted subsidies.
The data for the income are entered in the pre-filled annual tax declarations, and the information on the type of income received is reflected in the relevant appendices. Before being signed and submitted, the pre-filled data should be reviewed, supplemented and corrected if necessary, as well as to assess whether the income entered in the return is taxable or non-taxable. Taxable income is subject to mandatory declaration, and non-taxable income, such as income from the sale of personal belongings, can be declared at will.
The electronic service for submitting an annual tax return under Art. 50 of the VAT is available with a personal identification code (PIC) or with a qualified electronic signature (KEP) in the e-Portal of the revenue agency. Persons who do not have a PIK can obtain it in minutes and free of charge at any NRA office.
