According to a survey, most gamers prefer single-player games

Currently, the gaming industry is divided between creating online games (mostly Gas) and creating good old-fashioned single-player games. But what do the players prefer themselves?

According to a new study conducted by MIDiA Research (based on 9 thousand people worldwide), it was found that despite the large number of online games on the market, the public prefers games one – still a player.

According to the data, 53% of players prefer single-player games, while the rest, 47%, prefer multiplayer games that include modes such as PvE, co-op and PvP on -line.

Meanwhile, the data also shows that older audiences aged 25 to 55+ prefer single-player games the most, while younger audiences aged 16 to 24 prefer multiplayer games.

Those responsible for the study even note that while several single-player game studios have been forced to make games as a service, running off transfers has not paid off. Among these studios, the report mentions Sega with Hyenas from Creative Assembly, which was cancelled, as well as PlayStation, which did the same with The Last of Us online from Naughty Dog after many years of development.

Also mentioned are games as a service that were released and became massive failures: Crystal Dynamics (Marvel Avengers game), BioWare and EA (Hymn), Platinum Games (the fall of Babylon) and Arkane by Microsoft (Redfall).

At the same time, single-player games are breaking sales records, such as the famous giant IPs Zelda and Spider-Man, as well as new IPs A circle of fire and The Black Myth of Wukong.
