In an interview on the Portuguese news channel, Brunswick prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters confirmed that there is evidence that Maddie MacCann has passed away.

Wolters, who is leading the investigation into Christian B., the prime suspect in Maddie McCann’s disappearance case, confirmed in an interview with TV station RTP that there is “material evidence” of the British girl’s death. Wolters does not want to tell the media what material evidence there is. He did say on Monday that there is still an investigation into the suspected rape of a young Irish woman in the Algarve in 2004. The woman had taken her story to the British press in July.
The investigator is 100 percent convinced that Maddie’s parents are completely innocent. The officer is thus responding to statements by a former Portuguese police chief, who stated that the German authorities are consciously looking for a ‘scapegoat’ in this mysterious case.
For Wolters it is a foregone conclusion: Christian B. kidnapped Madeleine and subsequently killed her. “Many pieces of the puzzle point to him,” he says. “We are only researching B. and no one else. At this stage we think he acted alone. ” That statement is refuted by Christian Fuelcher, the defendant’s lawyer. “I can’t go into the details, but someone is involved in this case who has given me vital information. When I reveal it, you will be amazed, ”counsel told British tabloid The Sun.
